Coffee Cup Reading

I pretty much think that the answer to most things and the solution to small troubles can be found in spending some quiet time with a good cup of coffee. I took this belief a step further on Saturday when I went to a coffee cup reading with my sisters and mum. We drank tiny cups of Turkish coffee and our overturned cup of grinds was our story. My cup was a lovely cup. Her accuracy was amazing.

Gingerbread House

A real life gingerbread house. No bathroom and no kitchen...but a bed and books is all you really need isn't it?

Flourish

Last weekend ma's roses were flourishing and she did laps to and from the garden bringing with her handfuls of dewy roses. We had 5 vases of them on the table and their scent filled the room (and mr's nostrils as we held them before his face and told him to inhale). She laid them on this donna hay mag and I arranged and snapped and sniffed and snipped. Ma then returned with an all white bunch and some tiny Jane McGrath roses. p.s Hi Jane!

I Can't Find Anywhere for Less Than a Million Dollars

Hmm, started the rental hunt this morning...along with all the other hungry home hounds competing for average spaces at enormous prices. This little 2br apartment in Bronte sold for almost a million dollars so renting it is for now.

Rosé Darling

The lovely Stef sent through this pic for the little par-tay she is hosting at Newspaper Taxi tonight. Aren't those Logan labels absolutely beautiful? I have a new found love for Rose since sipping it in the sunshine in Paris.

Newspaper Taxi

You may have noticed a beautiful little button on the left of this blog announce the brand new blog and online shop for Newspaper Taxi. Remember how inspired I was when I visited the shop in Newtown (Sydney, Australia) for the first time? And the gorgeous vintage goods I picked up which inspired these photos.

I'm heading to the Newspaper Taxi xmas shindig on Friday night and I can't wait to lay my eyes on the amazing new stock. Come along and have a glass of bubbles if you're in the neighbourhood.

Adding to the Bounty of the Downstairs Neighbour

Santa, as you know, I have (had) an deep love for the divine Grain de Couleur bath mat that is no longer in my bathroom. I remember hanging it from my balcony last weekend and then there were storms and I was away for work and now it's well and truly gone, so I found a few things to add to my end of year list...including a replacement mat.

Schwinn women's cruiser / Shower mat from Grain de Couleur / Rabbit lamp from Down to the Woods. I also came across these Donna Wilson egg cups and this beautiful deer bowl
