Pre & Post

Mr and I tried our hands at a gingerbread house, we wanted to make a modern 2 storey but stopped at one to be on the safe side. Although its cute and was entirely demolished on Christmas Eve, I think it looks more like Fred Flintstones house. I also made gingerbread clouds and gingerbread women in bikinis. Christmas Day was all very white and silver at mum's house, with cookie placecards and hydrangeas from her garden. Now to 2011...

Cardboard Christmas Tree

Mr and I bought a cardboard tree in Noosa recently and it was just too...brown. So I painted it white and found these amazing porcelain Seletti decorations and used porcelain feathers I already had. Topped it off with a laser cut light et voila. Small but effective, non?

The Hunt Continues

Well, we missed out on the Bronte apartment we put in an application for - accidentally on purpose - amazing view, but no built ins and a kitchen unfit for baking.

Dallas & Carlos

My gorgeous friend started up this range of beautiful jewellery with her school friend from the front room of one of their little apartments in Brazil. The quality and style is just so beautiful, I absolutely love these two pieces (especially the tiny skull on the bracelet)...Mr, this message is for you - shop online here and see more of their range here.

Summer Reading for Some & Winter Reading for Others

I was so excited when Du Jour wanted to feature my humble home (middle pic) in their Handmade edition and even more so when I realised what great company I was in, my 2 favourite bloggers (Jeska & Pia) were in amongst the pages too. Then I got to thinking about my fave online publications and how I should share them with you...Sweet Paul / Papier Mache / By Fryd / Lovely Clusters.

Wrapping : Version 2

Un petit wrapping idea my pretties - take some crepe paper, cut width ways across the layers then unroll the strip you've just cut (like your making streamers) then wrap the gift as normal. It will be just like having an extra long ribbon, but instead of 1 bow, tie a second one on top et voila!

Flush

A coffee table full of roses. Rosewater scents the air. Our hearts bloom with the beauty of it.
