Garland Fever

Hellooo, I have been thinking about garlands for ever and now I have finally made a couple and I must admit, they're adorable. Even Mr who doesn't like 'things' hanging about the house admistted these were cute. I can make any length and lots of colours so convo me on Etsy and check out my shop. More colours to come. xx

Gentle People

Barbara Calzolari is truly a font of talent. She sent me variations of 'Concrete & Honey' in her beautiful hand in a hand painted envelope. Look at that bird! I love the Italian stamps and the Bologna postage stamp. Check out her webiste Gentle People and watch her write write on windows with liquid chalk. Thank you so much Barbara, what a beautiful gift all the way from Italy.

Perishing Tulips & Scrap Paper

I basically pranced about the house on Saturday taking pics of anything and everything. Including from top: perishing tulips; cookbooks; a pile of interiors & design books; a snippet of my current inspiration board.

Out of Sorts

Some good news. Mr isn't leaving me for a job up North anymore. He's staying here in our house by the beach (can you see it in the splashback reflection) so we can continue to cook dinner together, keep each other warm in bed, not sit next to a stranger on the bus, drink coffee and read the papers in silence in the sun. I've been so out of sorts since he told me it was an option.

Uninspired

What a Saturday. The sun is finally gloriously out. After weeks of rain and darkness day and night, we can take in glorious breaths of sunshine again and refuel on vitamin D. Tiring is all the drab weather day after day, the grey and black layers pulled about our bodies an necks to shield us from the elements, the battle of leaning into the wind to move towards our warm houses. Somewhere along the way I discovered I was uninspired. But today I picked up my camera, light is waht I needed and I have some beauty to share again. I hope you're having a beautiful weekend.

Gifts From The Heart

These hyacinths have lasted a week and smell divine (a gift from a free spirited friend) in a gorgeous porcelain vase (from my amazing boss). The glass tea cup (a gift from a warm hearted, dear dark haired girl) and the beautiful 'Gemini' card (hand made by my mum).

Bonjour Little Ones

Mr finished building our pallet bed on Sunday for when we have little visitors. I still need to show you the base, which is the unique thing about the bed but I am more excited about the cute sheets I bought at BigW. I need to shop there more often, they have EVERYTHING. I bought 2 $7 tops and some bargain Bonds undies. Who knew bargain shopping could be so satisfying? Moving right along. Oh, I've been meaning to tell you about this gorgeous new shop I found where I bought this 'Bonjour' cushion (I adore the tiny stitched gold stars on the corners)...Tiny Bird in Double Bay Sydney, what a dream of a shop, you can shop online too.

Hi Tea

Helloo, it was my birthday last Saturday and I had a litte tea party for myself and invited nan & pop and mum & dad to our newly rented house by the sea. I made a rhubarb cake and a flourless chocolate pear cake and we drank strawberries & cream tea.
