The Prince / cupcakes / The Euopean / awesome cafe Brother Baba Budan w/ chairs strung from the ceilingI feel like I need to get these Melbourne images out there. The tones are a lot darker and richer than my usual white and it's making me restless, so I'm going to be brave and put them out there and prove I'm not a pastel only girl (not that there's anything wrong with that ;o) eek!

These pics are from Lost & Found Market in Collingwood. I couldn't help myself - I quickly placed the tobacco tin near the yellow knitted hat and added a nearby gold purse - the amateur stylist in me can not be suppressed. It's a great place to pick up a good as new Leica cameras and lenses, ballroom dancing gowns, vintage Singer sewing machines and anything else totally random you don't really need.

This is without doubt my favourite restaurant in Melbourne. Usually my favourite place is the next one, the cool one I have read about but haven't been to yet...but I can't get enough of this place. The little touches inside and out are as amazing as the food. Call ahead and they'll roast you a kid or a chicken or turn up on Sunday night for a 'Feed Me' dinner, where the chef serves as many courses as will fit the budget you wish to spend per head. That's a dahlia on the cistern, a hydrangea wrapped around the pipe above the hand dryer and Aesop soap is provided for your hands - can you sense a woman's touch? Both owner & chef, Zoe Roy are female. They call their style of food Modern British and the influence of Zoe's stints working in Scotland, England, Ireland, Turkey and France are evident...Moorish spices, shared plates and seasonal produce are their signature. This is only the courtyard and the bathroom, I want you to visit to see and taste the the wonders inside for yourself! What's you're all time favourite eating spot like?

Melbourne must be one of the coolest cities in the world. Wandering down Smith Street in Collingwood and Gertrude Street in Fitzroy I was amazed by the truly unique characters, their individual style and the choice of bars and cafes they had to choose from. But my greatest discovery of all was reuniting with my darling friends, Victoria & Alex and remembering that although we may be separated by state, we are never really far apart. Thanks for having me. x
