I stopped buying fashion mags when I fell in love with interiors mags and got sick of the "how to please your man" and "get a bikini body in 2 weeks" articles, but Elle and Vogue were always a class above. I just could not resist these covers. The contents are delicious too.

It's good to be home. Kenya was really amazing and I promise to share photos soon, but this first week back proved to be a tough one as it would seem the only souvenir I brought back from Africa was the bug in my tummy.

On Saturday, I was finally able to stomach a latte and have a wander around my 'hood. I was thrilled to find huge blooms of peonies had (finally) arrived at my favourite florist and I discovered a free new mag called SoHi - creative Southern Highlands. This area is known for its beautiful gardens, antiques and country cottages inhabited by retirees. But it would seem the art of its crafts people has been unearthed and brought to our attention in this beautiful publication. The gorgeous cover shows the interior of a basket weavers studio.
