Recent Work

Now that I have my website up and running (thanks to 3 nights sitting up 'til midnight), I am going to share my recent styling & photography work more often here and include how my clients have used the images on their websites, web stores, for advertising in print mags and online and of course social media.

Remember my bedroom post for Adairs? This is what my room still looks like now, but a full makeover is in the works.  We are waiting on some cladding to be delivered and then we can strip, paint, paint some more and make it pretty.

Sweet Magazine

The lovely Sam from Dunne with Style invited me among other creatives to contribute to issue 4 of Sweet mag. Sweet. This issue was 'for the boys' so this was my gentle hint at a teepee/Indian theme, featuring feather cupcake & gift toppers, Love Mae wall wolf wall decal which I have loved since forever and a bow and arrow cake. My colors were pale green and grey. Boyish but still gentle and pretty.

Adairs Style Editor Interview

I was so excited when Adairs invited me to feature as a Style Editor. Two wonderful words to have near my name, and even better was that I had the privilege to select beautiful linens of my choice to showcase on my bed as well as in a beautiful post on their blog here.

Oh My

A beautiful surprise for the new year was popping up on Amy Arthurs' beautiful blog, Oh My.  My shop was featured as her 35th Handmade Find. 

A Fresh Start for A New Year

Hellooo.  I've made some changes around here.  As I have been spending more time on Instagram and less time on my blog, I thought I'd try and reignite my passion for blogging - it's a bit more time consuming than IG, but worth it, as the images tend to be better quality (carefully taken on a camera not a phone), and a blog post allows you to tell a story.

Sooo I have removed the 'favourite posts' buttons (pretty as they were), added some pages, added labels and changed my header (I always wanted to remain private/anonymous but as my face/house/life is on IG and my blog has been around for 5 years now, I may as well show my face - this is me!).

I have also added a 'Press' button as I was looking through the mentions by blog has received over the years I was delighted all over again to be reminded my little blog appeared on my top three blog heroes' hugely popular blogs soon after I started blogging.  Over the years, their success and popularity has grown enormously with multiple books, open houses and e-courses between them .  My little blog hasn't boomed like theirs but I would still one day love to publish a book (any publishers interested?!).  Anywho, less about me, more about you.  Let me know if there is anything you wish was easier to find on my blog.  Thank you for continuing to be on this 'searching for beauty' journey with me.

I love it when people send me pics of where they put C&H purchases once it finds its way into their homes.  Remember these dots - they found a home in a little girl's room. Squeak & Squirel, maker of beautiful childrens clothing hung a garland in her kitchen and had moved her little heart around her house. I agree, I love it on that mantle too - what a beautiful image. Thank you so much for sending these through.

Nursery Clouds

The lovely Anne-Claire, a Lyonnaise blogger & decorator who can be found at sur un nuage requested a cloud garland in all of blue, pink, cream, lemon & silver and recently posted some pics of the gorgeous nursery of her son Anton with the cloud garlnd in situ. Lovely!

My Garlands in Donna Hay Mag

Turn to page 209 of the Donna Hay mag Issue 60, past the beautiful pavlova and upon the tree are my garlands. I'm delighted.
