Middle of Nowehere
I was checking out new shop crate expectations and came upon Melbourne brand Middle of Nowhere (1A Llaneast St Malvern VIC 3144). Makers of these gorgeous Malmo stools, art and cushions. Love this.

Melbs
That top pic is my fave in the whole issue (almost 200 pages) of the latest Adore Home mag. I must now add to my 'next time in Melbourne':
Turner & Lane
Chez Dre for coffee and patries
Mynd Interiors
Hut 13
Fenton & Fenton and while on High Street, drop into Spoonful for a coffee, pop into Trove and Safari Living.
I've also been meaning to get to Assembly Hall

A Little Place Called Melbourne

Wow - this week flew...last weekend we went to Melbourne and I didn't even have time to tell you. I forgot my camera so these are my poor iphone efforts. We went to The Heide to lunch at Cafe Vue (loved the plates and the pear tart), bought a divine pear & chocolate mound from B&P and ate it in the bath, dined at St Jude's Cellar, slept at The Hatton. Woke, coffee drank at Bada Brother Budan, shopped along Little Collins and had a long menu-less lunch and a sneaky G&T and glass of sauv blanc at the incredible Press Club (the got back to the car and collected a parking ticket). Didn't Have A Clieu

Sitting in the sun with latte, mandarin cake & my preggers sister at De Clieu in Melbourne...I tried to find the French translation for De Clieu but alas, it's the name of a dashing young captain from the French navy. Gabriel Mathieu de Clieu is credited with being the man to introduce coffee to the New World. While on leave in Paris, he randomly decided to take a coffee plant back to his station in Martinique and so stole seedlings from the Royal Jardin de Plantes and smuggled them aboard his ship. Coffee Darling

Melbourne, we made it...I boarded the plane sans overnight bag (not that being without clothes would have made a difference as I froze anyway). I packed a tutu and wore shorts and thongs and a summer dress to dinner in windy sub 20 degree weather. I shopped for a tracksuit top and leggings. We sat at the wrong gate on the way back and almost missed our flight and when I unpacked back home I realised I'd left my makeup bag on the basin in the hotel in Melbourne. Gosh we ate well though.
