Today + 2 weeks and I will be in perfect Paris...eeek!

Les Secrets

I need another notebook like a hole in the head, but this one is different (aren't they all?) and how could I resist? (I couldn't). This one says 'Mes Notes' then there's that beautiful gold wreath and well, its Laduree. I also bought this magnificent perfume, (or what I thought was perfume) and have since been liberally dousing myself with it. It reads 'Parfum de maison'. Hmm, does that make it air freshener? I don't care, its smells beautiful so I will douse on... a signature scent it will surely be as I doubt there's another moron wearing it as perfume. Flea Markets

We could have easily filled a container with the chairs, mirrors, ceramics and chandeliers we wandered amongst on at the St Ouen flea markets. Oh, they were amazing (once we found them)! I was in my element, and as always, we stopped for a cafe creme before making our way back.

From the Inside Looking Out

We truly adored our hotel in Paris. How how we loved looking out the window onto 'our' sweet street and taking pleasure in watching Parisian passersby. As night started to fall, we'd look into the wide windows of the apartments opposite to find...the beautifully furnished apartment with no-one home to enjoy it, the students on laptops in front of the TV, the shirtless man laying on his lounge, the gentleman setting the table for dinner and the laughter that followed when his guests arrived.

We rested in the open windowed afternoons to the gentle buzz of Marais floating through the fenetre and into our dreams.

Paris - I Miss You

I'm Back

Bonjour! I've read all your gorgeous comments and I'm back with new found discoveries from Paris, London and Berlin. I have so much to share, so let's start from the very beginning.

Day one in Paris saw us headed straight to Merci - I can not emphasis enough how much of an absolute must do this store is, I think it's one of the most incredible spaces I ever experienced. Serial Chineur was an exhibition showing the work of object entomologist Jean Sonnet Croise photographed by Pierrick Verny. There were 49 images created for this exhibition, huge ones displayed hanging from the rafters, an entire portfolio avec white glove to leaf through them all and 12.50 euro prints, of which I bought 'Cordes' (the one with red string, which kind of look like rolls of meat - obviously not enough to put me off buying it) and the bottles & spoons one for my sis.

Wearable Paris

Getting very excited - I leave tomorrow for Paris!
