9 > Anything

In bed with the wretched flu (basking in the sunshine coming through the window), Mr is making me eggs and I am cruising through my flickr Mixed Media set.

Brighten Your Day

I am in love with my new sewing machine and with colour. The brighter the better. Give me neon brights! I've made some amazingly bright garlands to brighten any day.

The New Image Maker

I'm back. I've been busy cooking, cleaning, washing, ironong and clearing some cupboard space for Mr and I came across these collages I printed out 2 years ago by Echo Morgan and I still really love them.

Interview from Dazed Digital here.

Behind Closed Doors

Ads, magazine clippings, newspaper images, brochures, save the dates...all the colours and concepts that have caught my eye are stuck haphazardly on the back of my door...I'm ready to tear them down and start afresh.

Stoked

Kathryn's Citrus & Sorbet board # 346 is my all time favourite, then Navy & Peach # 385 and oh it made my day when my beribboned lemon rose popped up on her Confetti Cake board # 419

Calm Blue

These inspirational record cards by record the day take my breath away. A fellow magazine tear-er and paste-er. I love the haphazard way she scribbles notes, attaches pics, polaroids and scraps of pretty found pieces with staples, rips, tears and wraps. I especially love the mixed media ones with the stamps - I love travel related imagery - hand addressed envelopes, vintage postcards, old maps and new maps, used stamps...which brings me to something else I have been working on which I will be sharing with you soon.

Hooray for Holly

I love the use of clean contrasts with pink and white sweetness and the creamy richness of the toffee and aqua tones. This is the handiwork of Holly Becker, who is, in my opinion, writer of one of the very best of interiors/styling blogs. I absolutely love every post of hers on both Decor8 and Haus Maus -where she shares the wonders surrounding her move to Germany next month, as well as some fab German shopping recommendations (see her blogroll). I wish her the best of luck with her move to Hannover. She has been a fabulous supporter of this blog and I can't thank her enough. Hopefully continually admiring her work is gratitude enough? And Holly, if you happen upon this post, please e-mail me your forwarding address so I can send one of my new postcards to your new home. In appreciation for inspiration. x
