Noosa Goes Gidget

I don't think there are many things cooler than a chick that can surf. I found myself in Noosa on the weekend during the Noosa Festival of Surfing and was delighted to see there were as many woman as men surfing - all of whom donned beautiful bronze svelte bodies. There were lithe ladies scooting back and forth on their long boards (very Gidget) and plenty of hot Hawaiians & foreigners lucky enough to follow the waves around the world. On a more glamorous note - the most amazing shop on Hastings street is Signatures...books, candles, blankets, jewellery, art. It's 2 levels of bliss, customers walk from corner to corner flipping pages of books, picking up coconut candles and frangipani soaps to smell and baby blankets to touch. Noosa's restaurants are truly world class as well, head to Urban Nectar for my top picks.

Great shots. :D
You capture the atmosphere and mood very nicely. I can feel what it must be like to be there. Maybe I'll head down to the beach soon. I live California after all.

I came across your blog on blogs of Note (congrats on that by the way). I love these pictures, it reminds me of when I was in Melbourne a few years ago seeing relatives. Australia is such a beautiful place and obviously I'll be back one day but for now your pictures are bringing back all those wonderful memories.
