Becoming Unravelled

assignment topics: reflections (me) / favourite things (my journals)
memories (me as a little one w/ mum & dad) on my wall / feet
I recently completed Susannah's wonderful Unravelling e-course (and applications are already filling for the next one) and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was such a positive experience and a great way of connecting with many talented, interesting and supportive people. I looked forward to seeing my the pics from my classmates as much as I looked forward to submitting my own. I think what got me off on the right foot was Susannah mentioning upfront that the course was not about technical ability or selecting 'bests' or 'favourites'. It was amazing reading the stories that went with the pictures - the glimpses into peoples everydays, their heartaches, memories, loves and losses - whatever they felt brave enough to share. It was also fascinating to see peoples takes on your images. The photos I submitted which I liked the most rarely received many comments, yet the pics I wasn't so sure about were often the most popular. You just can't pick 'em.

p.s. you'll fall in love with Susannah's gentle encouraging manner too.

I love all of these pictures as well as hearing how much you enjoyed the experience. I wonder if such things are available where I live? :)

Most of these are super gorgeous, and the rest are stunning. Great things came out of that course. :)

Katie - it's an online course - that's the loveliest thing about it - you're in class with people from all over the world.x
