Family Week

The first thing Brie said to me when I walked into the delivery suite last Saturday morning was, "I won't be able to come to dinner." Bless her, she'd just given birth.

I cooked for the family on Saturday night for Nat's birthday in her brand-spanking-new kitchen. Isn't it amazing?! The menu? Prawn & lemon olive oil pasta with garlic breadcrumbs (for the new mum who had gone 9 months without shellfish), a pear, rocket and basil salad + an asparagus, blood orange, labne and Sicilian olive salad. Strawberry and rhubarb crumble with creme brulee gelato followed and as you can see, the boys got dressed up for the occasion! Spiderman's rippling muscles crack me up. When baby Asha cries they put on these outfits to go and rescue her. Too cute.
