New House Idea

Well, we're finally in - quite exhausting this moving business and the house is full of empty boxes and disorganised chaos. We of course need more storage...How fab is this IKEA idea? and they have a blog...who knew? p.s. to save you searching, these are Prant boxes and are held together with bulldog clips. You'll need to paint them yourself.

I'm officially a magazine-aholic. Mr could not believe the collection I've amassed. I had to sneak manageable piles into the bottom EVERY box in order to smuggle them all into the new house with the promise that I will cull...but how? I even did a few trips myself of just bags of mags 'cos I felt sorry for the removalists.

This is so cute. When I moved, I packed all my magazines too! Hope you are enjoying your new home.

Crates like that are great storage! If you get sturdier ones you can even mount them on walls. I store some of my mags stacked up and used as a side table, just a small lamp on top. It actually makes a great little spot for sitting and flipping through them.

How funny! As I was reading this I read it out to my Mr as I was told to spend a couple of hours in my studio this weekend to go through my magazines and to get rid of the ones I don't want/need anymore, but how???? I spent hours looking through them all & then put them all back neatly in their place.

I once was a magazine-aholic as well. But they can definitely become too much way too fast. So i started tearing out the pages of things i loved or even liked the rest (including the majority of the magazine, advertisements) I tossed. I've taken the torn out pages put them in clear sleave protectors and now have binders full of my favorite things. One of interiors one for fashion etc.It was well worth the time and effort. It saves SOOO much space. Good luck with unpacking!

The idea of concrete and honey seems to be quite interesting and also it is well worth the time and effort.
