This is the pallet bed Mr made ages ago now and a sneaky piece of rhubarb & hazelnut cake (really good and the recipe is from those free little cards at the local fruit & vege shop) on a Saturday afternoon with some quality alone/collage time.
Hi Kit & Nancy - here it is: 125g butter, 1 cup caster sugar, 2 eggs, 2 cups self-raising flour, 1/2 cup milk, 100g roasted hazlenuts chpped, 1 bunch rhubarb (trim, wash & cut into 2cm bits), 1.5tbs icing sugar. Heat oven to 160degrees, grease 22cm round pan, beat butter & sugar til light and fluffy, add eggs one at a time and gently fold in flour, milk and half the hazelnuts. pour into pan. Top with rhubarb & remaining hazelnuts, press them into cake and dust with icing sugar. Bake for an hour and cool in pan for 5 mins before turning out.
You are a big artist!!! I love your work, I think it is incredible!!! From today I will follow you every day. Thanks for your Blog. Greetings from Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain)
