Dream House

When Pamela Makin renovated the family weatherboard bungalow in Newport Beach knocking three bedrooms into one open living space spilling into the Pacific Ocean, she had no idea the $200,000 face lift would become a global sensation, especially after the builders said it couldn't and shouldn’t be done. Pamela is an artist and owner of Les Interieurs. It was her artist husband who found the huge tree trunk placed in the middle of their living room. More info here.

That bathroom. I'd never leave. Never. That bench top, the view to the outside. Sigh.

Everything is so minimal and stunning and the rug is such a bold, yet beautiful edition to the home.

the view through the open side of the house almost gives me vertigo.

good thing the trunk is in the middle of it all to keep it grounded
